In Europe, only Finland has a higher percentage of academics working from home (an average of 1.7 days per week). While worldwide, working from home is quite widespread in Canada (1.9 days) and the United Kingdom (1.8 days).

Among employee categories, those with young children are more likely to split their workweek between their "home office" and their workplace at the employer.
