Elections with state resources?! The directors of the SP, the most voted, "killed" the race even within the category

Elections with state resources?! The directors of the SP, the most voted,

With three directors on the open list, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku broke every vote record in Fier Region, taking three more mandates from the 2021 elections. The Socialist Party secured 12 parliamentary mandates out of a total of 16, defeating not only political rivals in every direction, but also those within the party.

The previous directors are in the lead with a large margin of preferential votes, grabbing the deputy's mandate with both hands. The situation is similar in all regions of the country.

Many of the directors could only be connected to the district where they ran by their distant origins, but their influence on the vote was quite large, as questions are raised about the form of the campaign and the use of human and infrastructural resources of the respective directorates in the service of the elections, which ultimately translated into tens of thousands of personal votes.

Fieri, surrounded by directors

In the Fier Region, which includes the municipalities of Fier, Lushnje, Divjaka, Mallakastër, Roskovec and Patos, the SP's open lists included three important officials. Ceno Klosi, former Director General of Taxes, recently Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, secured first place on the open list with around 17 thousand votes.

After him, Klevis Jahaj, Director General of the National Agency for Water Supply, Sewage and Waste Infrastructure, received around 13 thousand votes.

Fifth in the ranking is Elton Korreshi, former director of Local Taxes and Tariffs, Lushnja Municipality, currently also the deputy mayor of this municipality. All three will be in Parliament in September next year.

Durres

Durrës Region also has a large number of directors who decided to enter "big" politics and for them it was not a failed initiative at all. We still don't have a railway, but we do have a director. Ani Dyrmishi, General Director of Albanian Railways, ran on the open lists of the Socialist Party for Durrës Region.

In the end, when the preferential votes were counted, Dyrmishi secured second place with around 12,000 preferential votes.

The only one who did not pass is Arkend Balla, with over 18 thousand votes, he became a deputy when he least expected it, after the resignation of Rrahman Rraja. The list of directors continues where Etleva Budini, Director of the Durrës Branch of the Albanian Post, ranks fifth with over 4 thousand votes and in the list below in seventh place is Indrit Gjoka, director of the Port of Durrës. Also in this district, the director of the Krujë Local Education Office took sixth place with over 3 thousand preferential votes.

Korce

In Korça, the SP list, in addition to the political figures on the closed list, suggested candidates with “potential” on the open list, whose professional resumes were mainly related to the management of various directorates. Before being appointed deputy minister at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Arian Jaupllari held the position of General Director at the General Directorate of Regulation and Compliance in Agriculture, Food and Rural Development. Also, Besa Spaho, who in her resume emphasizes that she has managed the ALUIZNI agency Tirana South but also the local Cadastre, has secured 6691 preferential votes in Korça.

Elbasan

Almost on the verge of breaking any record, a name almost unknown to the public, Sara Mila, was able to secure 18,626 votes and is on the verge of passing over 20,000 votes when the diaspora vote is also counted. Mila held the position of director of the State Social Service in Elbasan. The list of directors continues further in Elbasan, but without ever coming close to Sara Mila, who has "defeated" in votes even the important directors who ran in the Fier Region.

conclusion

Most of the candidates for deputies who competed in the May 11 elections are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. Some of them have open cases at the Special Prosecutor's Office SPAK, but still without a measure and communication of charges. Now that they have won the mandate of the deputy, any request for a security measure "house arrest", or "prison arrest", will have to be approved by the Albanian Parliament and the mandate makes them somewhat immune even in the face of justice.
