Pope Leo XIV's ceremony at the Vatican/ Albania is represented by religious

A high-ranking delegation from Albania, composed of representatives of religious communities and state authorities, will travel to the Vatican to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Holy Papal Mission of Pope Leo XIV.

The solemn ceremony will take place on Sunday, at 10:00, where Albania will be represented by the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, and the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani.

Senior representatives of religious communities in the country will also participate in this important religious and international event:

From the Catholic Church, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës, Archbishop Arjan Dodaj, the President of the Episcopal Conference of Albania, Archbishop Gjergj Meta, and its Vice-President, Archbishop Simon Kulli, are expected to be present.
The Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania will be represented by the Metropolitan of Apollonia and Fier, His Grace Nikolla, and Father Ignat Todri.
From the Muslim Community of Albania, the head of the KMSH, Bujar Spahiu, and representative Ejup Lila will participate.
The World Bektashi Patriarchate will be represented by the World Patriarch, Baba Mondi, and journalist Ferdinand Samarxhi.

At the end of the ceremony, all participants will have the opportunity to take an official photograph with the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

Meanwhile, on Monday, starting at 09:30, Albanian delegations will participate in the Audience of the Holy Father, which will be held with representatives of Churches, ecclesial communities and various religious traditions from around the world.

The Albanian delegation is accompanied by the Ambassador of Albania to the Vatican State, Ms. Majlinda Frangaj.
