Zelensky from Tirana: Pressure on Russia must be increased, Putin's

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for increased international pressure on Russia in order to reach a peace agreement. The statement was made during his speech at the European Political Community summit, which is being held in Tirana.

Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready for a diplomatic solution and that he himself was in Ankara to advance peace efforts. However, according to him, the Russian side has shown no willingness to make progress.

"Putin did not agree to anything. The delegation he sent to Turkey was very small, without the ability to make decisions. Russia is continuing to undermine diplomacy, while we demand a complete and unconditional ceasefire, as well as the creation of a solid basis for negotiations," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian President thanked Albania for its hospitality, describing it not only as a beautiful country, but also as a partner committed to peace and European integration.

"Russia is simply making a spectacle of these talks, sending the same people as in 2022, who have achieved nothing. It is not us who are undermining the negotiations, it is the Russians," he concluded.
