Heart attack on the night shift/ The doctor who served children for 20 years

A serious incident shocked the University Hospital Center "Mother Teresa" in Tirana on Thursday morning, where the well-known pediatrician Bashkim Nezaj passed away prematurely, while he was in the line of duty, during the night shift at the Pediatric Hospital.

Dr. Nezaj, a respected figure in Albanian medicine, lost his life as a result of a heart attack, while he was on duty as a guard doctor. He breathed his last in the country where he had served with dedication for more than two decades, caring for the health of children.


The news of his passing has caused deep pain among colleagues, friends and the entire medical community. There have been many comforting reactions on social networks, where Dr. Bashkimi is remembered as a calm, loving and dedicated man to his noble profession.
