A serious traffic accident resulting in the death of one person occurred today at around 1:00 PM on the 7th kilometer of the "Ibrahim Rugova" Highway, in the Prizren - Morinë direction.

The accident involved a "VW Tiguan" car with Albanian license plates, driven by 46-year-old Ylli Tali, and a "Mercedes" truck, also with Albanian license plates, driven by 36-year-old Kristal Korbi.

As a result of the powerful collision, passenger Xhensila Xixa, 32 years old, residing in Fushë-Krujë, died at the scene. Her death was confirmed by the medical team that arrived at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the "Tiguan", Ylli Tali, and another passenger, Lavdi Xixa, 36 years old, were rushed to the Prizren Regional Hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance in the emergency department.

Kosovo Police units and the acting prosecutor intervened at the scene, who ordered the body to be sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
