EU summit tomorrow in Tirana, Rinas airport shows alternative routes to avoid

Rinas Airport has informed citizens of the alternative routes to avoid traffic from May 16, when the European Political Community summit will take place in Tirana.

As part of the summit, where all European Union leaders will arrive in the capital, strict security measures are expected to be taken and a large number of roads will be blocked.

TIA clarifies that access to the airport will be provided through secondary roads and not the Tirana-Durrës highway.

"During the European Political Community Summit, to facilitate traffic to and from Tirana International Airport, the secondary roads of the Tirana - Qafë Kashar - Rinas highway as well as the Northern Ring Road will be accessible. Likewise, the Paskuqan - Institut - Kamëz - Domje - Laknas - Rinas and Paskuqan - Institut - Kamëz - Valias - Rinas branches will remain functional. Travelers are also advised to use these alternative routes to avoid traffic and ensure a faster arrival at the airport,"  TIA announced.
