Electoral crime, Alimehmeti: If there are no free elections, there is no normal

The Democratic Party's candidate for deputy in the Tirana district, Ilir Alimehmeti, has spoken about the investigation of electoral crime in Albania.

Invited to News 24, Alimehmeti, who is also one of the most voted DP candidates in the Tirana district, stressed that democracy in the country is at risk if free and fair elections are not guaranteed.

According to him, the Democratic Party had the best program in the country, but this was not enough to bring about change due to serious problems in the electoral process.

"The DP had the best program in Albania. Electoral crime in the country is not investigated. After the patient dies, the doctor appears. Justice must be effective and fast. 1 million Albanians have been expelled from the country in 12 years. That last link is being caught, some counter or commissioner. Albania 2025 is not what I want. The Albanian nation is dying. We all fought for the Democratic Party. If there are no free elections, there is no normal state, " said Alimehmeti.
