"53 thousand suspicious envelopes in Greece", Logu: Massive manipulation of immigrants' votes

"53 thousand suspicious envelopes in Greece", Logu: Massive

The legal representative of the Democratic Party, Marash Logu, has accused the government and postal operator DHL of violations regarding the administration of envelopes arriving from Greece for the elections.

In a statement to the media, he said that this process has initiated a flagrant violation of the terms of the contract between the CEC and DHL, where in open violation of the security protocol and contractual clauses, the distribution and receipt of the envelopes was carried out through subcontracting, a practice that the contract clearly prohibited.

According to him, there has been a sudden increase in the number of envelopes from Greece, raising serious suspicions of vote manipulation by Albanian immigrants in this country.

"What I want to emphasize first is related to the envelopes coming from Greece. There are two facts that we already know. The first fact has to do with a flagrant violation by the postal service operator DHL, which had a contract with the CEC. This operator did not carry out the procedure of distributing and receiving the envelopes coming from Greece itself, but did so through subcontracting. Meanwhile, the contract expressly states that subcontracting is not allowed. So, this whole process started with a serious violation of the contractual terms by the postal service.

The second element, which you can also refer to with official CEC figures, is the fact that from 17.04.2025 to 04.05.2025, only 17 thousand envelopes have arrived from Greece, with a daily average of about 100 envelopes per day. On 04.05.2025, there is a statement by Mr. Rama in Gjirokastra, where he states that the process of distributing ballots in Greece was a "mishmash".

After this statement, the political leader of the SP, together with groups of patronage workers, headed towards Greece. You have seen the images: at certain DHL points and centers throughout Greece, SP patronage workers were engaged in an unauthorized manner to collect envelopes that had been sent to Albanian voters. These envelopes were collected, filled out and then sent to Albania.

From May 5 to May 11, in just 6 days, we had 36,000 envelopes arriving from Greece. This anomaly, in our assessment, cannot be explained otherwise than as a result of a manipulation of the vote of Albanian citizens who are in Greece.

According to security protocol, each envelope must be personally received by the voter, signed and submitted with a valid identification document. This did not happen. There is video clearly showing the same person receiving hundreds of envelopes, filling them out, submitting them, and not identifying himself at any point.

"We ask the CEC to make available all the signatures for the 53 thousand envelopes that came from Greece. Because, if it is not proven that these voters received them personally and returned them personally via DHL, then, in this case, these envelopes cannot be subject to either counting or evaluation ," said Logu.
