The May 11 parliamentary elections received international media coverage from the start of the electoral campaign of the political parties that entered the race.

Recently, "Corriere della Serra" published an article on the results of the counting process so far, where Rama's Socialist Party leads with 52%. The PD-AShM coalition is ranked second, with 34.50% of the votes.

The Italian media article emphasizes the low turnout. On May 11, according to data from the Central Election Commission, 42.21% of Albanians voted, a decrease compared to the elections of April 25, 2021, where the turnout was 48.59%.

"A record. A record, but negative, was the turnout — never particularly high in the Balkan state — which fell to around 43%, four points less than in 2021 ," writes "Corriere della Sera."
