Kikia: Rama's fourth mandate a precedent for democracy

Journalist Mento Kikia has commented on recent developments with the vote counting process.

On "Kafe Shqeto" on Syri TV, Kikia said that a fourth term for Rama is a dangerous precedent for democracy, while emphasizing that every violation must be addressed to the end.

"No matter how effective a political force is, 4 mandates are too many for a democratic system and a lukewarm society without nerves and without reaction and control mechanisms. Strong power is not good for any society. Such a massive vote to strengthen the power of a political force is not healthy for democracy."

"Every problem and violation that has been identified should be addressed to the end and the person who committed it should be held accountable. Nothing that has to do with the standard of elections should be tolerated in an absolute manner and should not be expected to be included only in international reports. This should be demanded by society," Kikia declared.
