Albanian convict terrorizes prison in Greece, takes guards hostage

48-year-old Albanian Klodian Lekocaj, alias Klod Cara, has been put at the epicenter of the Greek authorities after becoming the protagonist of a serious incident in the Koridhalos prison.

Lekocaj managed to take two prison guards hostage with a knife, taking their keys, radios, and cell phones.

At the same time, he began moving from one wing of the prison to the other with a group of seven Egyptians, to reach Ward 3, while searching for a compatriot to kill.

According to authorities, it is likely that this was a death contract that was not executed due to the intervention of prison officials in Korydhallos.

Klodian Lekocaj is also mentioned as having had connections with Albanians Elvis Bogdani and Ari Papa, previously executed in Greece.

In 2019, Lekocaj was accused of recruiting a hitman from Albania to execute a Pakistani, while in March 2023, Lekocaj was charged with fined 100,000 euros to a Greek businessman.

In April 2025, Lekocaj was accused of ordering the assassination of Albanians Kristjanis Stefa and Florian Bajraktari, which occurred on September 23, 2024.
