The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused the government of having violated the election criteria in the most ruthless way. In a statement to the media, Berisha said that the DP will make its assessment only after the counting of all votes is completed.

He stressed that the electoral process has been damaged by practices such as planting cannabis for votes, employing thousands of citizens to secure votes, and the presence of patronage agents near polling centers.
