Threatened journalist during duty, 26-year-old faces criminal charges

Gjirokastra Police have referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office regarding a 26-year-old man, who is accused of threatening a journalist while performing his duty.

According to the official announcement, Crime Investigation specialists at the Gjirokastër Police Station have initiated criminal proceedings against citizen KS, 26 years old, resident of the village of Picar, after on May 11 he threatened citizen AR, 37 years old, resident of the village of Lazarat, a journalist by profession.

The incident occurred in a public setting, where the 26-year-old allegedly threatened the journalist, claiming that the latter was filming him.

The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra for further investigations.
