Leaving aside votes from Greece, CEC: They will not be excluded from the count

The Central Election Commission has reacted after numerous opposing comments that have circulated in the media, regarding the decision taken the day before on the administration of electoral documentation of voters from abroad.

In a reaction to the media, the CEC clarifies that there is no decision by the State Election Commissioner to exclude voters from Greece from the vote counting and evaluation process.

"We clarify that there is no decision by the State Election Commissioner to exclude voters from Greece from the counting and evaluation of votes."

The decision taken the day before aims solely to ensure the proper administration of the electoral documentation of voters from abroad, during the time when this documentation is reviewed by the counters and the relevant committees for the administration of the counting and evaluation of votes from abroad for the 12 regions of the country.

"Comments and opposing opinions about this act are a disregard for the fact and sometimes even speculation," the CEC's response to the media states.
