The Director of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), Gentian Gjyli, appeared today at the SPAK premises, where he was officially charged with "violation of equality in tenders" and "abuse of office".
It is reported that investigations have uncovered at least 10 suspected irregularities in tendering practices, which include fictitious procedures and favoritism in the awarding of public contracts.
We recall that the former head of the ARA, Evis Berberi, a close associate of Minister Belinda Balluku, ended up in handcuffs by order of SPAK on charges of corruption and money laundering.
