The DP's candidate for deputy, Ilir Alimehmeti, invited to SYRI TV, expressed concern about the way the recent elections in Albania were conducted, describing them as a process far from democratic standards and citizens' expectations.

Referring to the OSCE-ODIHR preliminary report, he emphasized that the elections were neither free, nor fair, and not at all equal.

According to Alimehmet, the current situation is a clear warning of what could happen next, if the government's approach to electoral processes and democracy in general does not change.

Alimehmeti: A process far from the expectations that any citizen of Albania, or any citizen outside Albania, would have, for obvious reasons.

 What happened, what was discussed, when it comes to the OSCE-ODIHR in the previous report, they even came out before the elections, a very strong report against the electoral process, clearly describing the elections as not free and fair, certainly not equal. In 2025, it seems like a big nightmare that this government is still not able to hold elections.

If free and fair elections cannot be held, everyone loses. Even those who are enjoying maybe 3 days today, fate will come to them later. After time passes, they will understand, because even they will lose their homes, they will become poor, and they will have to go to those same hospitals, where they are running out of medicines and medical equipment.

They will have the same low salaries and pensions that they enjoy these days. They definitely won't have a living wage, because they don't even plan to, it's not their will. In the end, to enrich a handful of people who are one by one going to prison today.

And this is the major disaster. We knew very well that during the campaign, Rama's entire plan or facade was Europe. And Europe is speaking. It is clearly speaking that with these processes that you are doing, you are forgetting Europe.

Rama doesn't care about Europe. He doesn't care because he can't steal. If you enter Europe, there are some other rules that don't interest him and he won't do that. He does everything just to be in the chair himself and to be protected from justice tomorrow. These are Rama's own reasons. All those who enjoy remembering who knows what, nothing.

A majority government is very dangerous.
