Tirana Police has issued a statement regarding the serious incident recorded yesterday evening, which caused panic among citizens.

More specifically, a vehicle was speeding after another vehicle, during which gunfire was exchanged, and then their vehicles collided with two other cars, which had stopped at the traffic lights near the bridge at "Palace of Arrows".

After the accident, they abandoned their vehicles and the driver of the first vehicle attempted to flee, where they were caught with crowbars.

The capital's police report that in connection with this incident, they have declared citizens Eduart Koboçi, 28 years old, and Zenel Trofi, 35 years old, wanted. The person suspected of having fired the gun was Eduart Koboçi, as a suspected pistol bullet was found inside his vehicle.

"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 2 declared citizens Eduart Koboçi, 28 years old, and Zenel Trofi, 35 years old, wanted, after last night, at around 23:20, near the palace with arrows, it is suspected that while chasing each other, with vehicles, they crashed into 2 vehicles stopped at the traffic light. After the collision with material damage, they abandoned the vehicles they were driving and drove away. During the search of the vehicle allegedly driven by citizen Eduart Koboçi, the Police services found a suspected firearm projectile. Work is underway to capture the 2 citizens declared wanted and to fully document the event." - the Police statement states.
