The shortcomings of May 11 that Rama does not acknowledge when declaring victory

In the delusion of grandeur that he aroused at the start of the election campaign, Rama says with conviction that he managed to win the May 11 elections because "Albanians are not stupid."

The Prime Minister chose to announce his victory in the international media and reject the Albanian journalists who, from morning to night, reported the vote counts, the preliminary rankings, and who asked him for even a single phrase about the results so far.

Asked by reporters at the pink headquarters, the leader of the Socialists refused to speak, walking away with an ironic smile.

However, Rama chose to announce his victory first in the international media, as befits a prime minister who paints himself as the leader of the region.

For "Corriere della Sera", Rama confirmed the fourth term as a story of faith and vision, without forgetting the cases of voter intimidation and the pressure exerted on them for votes.

"We changed Albania with a clear vision and great perseverance. People are not stupid, as many politicians think, and they know how to distinguish between those who work seriously for the future of the country and those who limit themselves to the rhetoric of defeatism. We have made mistakes, but we have apologized. But we never stopped, never hid, never gave up in the face of difficulties and raised an entire nation, making it proud of its name ," he said.

Rama singles out the diaspora vote, a segment of voters who were allowed to vote from abroad for the first time. While boasting about himself, Rama sees the vote of those who left Albania as an appreciation for him.

"They don't vote out of nostalgia, but out of appreciation for the situation. It's a vote of confidence from those who left, but haven't abandoned Albania. And if the diaspora trusts us, that means we are broadcasting an image that makes them proud ," Rama said.

For Politico, Rama chose to speak more with attacks against. Asked about the opposition's decision for Chris LaCivita, the DP's campaign manager, Rama said: "Taking LaCivita and thinking you're going to be Trump is like hiring a Hollywood hairdresser and thinking you're going to be Brad Pitt . "

Rama denies any problems with the May 11 elections, ranging from vote buying and selling, to the exploitation of the administration and intimidation of voters, issues that the OSCE also addressed in its findings.

The OSCE stressed that "the ruling party took advantage of administrative resources during the campaign, creating an unfair advantage in power. There was disrespect for procedures, several incidents of intimidation and voter influence were noted due to problems with procedures and transparency."
