Democratic Party MP, Edmond Spaho, has announced his departure from active parliamentary life, describing the results of the May 11 elections as shocking.
In a post on social media, Spaho said that these were the last elections of his career in Parliament and thanked his family for the support they have given him over the years, as well as the DP structures in Maliq and the Korça Region for their continued trust.
“I am shocked by the results of the May 11 elections. These elections were the last of my active career in Parliament,” he wrote.
He expressed his gratitude to the citizens who have voted for and supported him during his 35 years in politics, apologizing for not being able to do more for them.
