Tirana towards the end of the count, Tabaku leads Alimehmet

Tirana is the last district that is expected to conclude the process of counting preferential votes from the May 11 elections. Currently, there are 154 ballot boxes left to announce the final result of the mandates.

According to the latest data published by the Central Election Commission at 21:00, as part of the race within the opposition PD-ASHM coalition, candidates Jorida Tabaku and Ilir Alimehmeti continue the rivalry for the 13th term in the capital.

Tabaku has so far secured 16,642 votes, while Alimehmeti has accumulated 15,021 votes, with a margin of nearly 1,620 votes in her favor. This deep margin gives Tabaku a clear advantage, positioning him as one of the candidates most likely to win the mandate.

However, the completion of the count will indicate whether this pace will be maintained or there will be surprises in the last boxes.
