From European security to immigration/ The three tables of the European

The proceedings of the sixth Summit of the European Political Committee will focus on 3 key issues: European security, economic competitiveness, and immigration.

The first roundtable will focus on the security and democratic sustainability of Europe, addressing support for Ukraine in its pursuit of a just and sustainable peace, as well as long-term challenges, including protecting democratic processes from foreign interference and strengthening Europe's defense capabilities.

The second roundtable will examine ways to strengthen competitiveness and economic security, with a focus on innovation, digital infrastructure, energy sustainability, and the strategic autonomy needed to secure critical supply chains and balance climate objectives with industrial strength.

The third roundtable will address the complex dynamics of migration, mobility and youth empowerment. Starting from the need for legal pathways and cooperation with countries of origin and transit, to the instrumentalization of migration and the challenge of retaining talent in national economies.
