Around 50 leaders of states, governments and organizations from across Europe have gathered in Tirana today to discuss the biggest challenges facing the continent.

The European Political Community Summit is held at Skanderbeg Square under the motto "New Europe in a New World: Unity, Cooperation, Joint Action", where it aims to deepen cooperation between the countries of the European Union and those outside it, as an open platform for dialogue.

Among them is the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, but what is striking is that in his announcement of participation in the Summit, Mickoski nowhere mentions Tirana or Albania.

Mickoski writes on Facebook that he is participating in the Summit as a confirmation of his commitment to active participation in European processes and building a stable and prosperous neighborhood.

"Today I participated in the Summit of the European Political Community, together with the leaders and representatives of the Western Balkan countries. The Summit is dedicated to promoting regional cooperation, stability and rapprochement with the EU, emphasizing the importance of joint action in the face of the challenges facing our continent."

"In the open discussion, views were exchanged on key topics for strengthening the region's connection with the rest of Europe. Our presence and participation in this Summit is a confirmation of our commitment to active participation in European processes and building a stable and prosperous neighborhood," Mickoski wrote, without mentioning the location of the summit.
