"We guaranteed major events", Proda thanks the officers amid

At the conclusion of several events in our country, from the Giro d'Italia, to the electoral process and today's summit of EU leaders in Tirana, the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, has conveyed a message of gratitude to the officers and citizens.

Through a message distributed to the media, Proda emphasizes that Albania guaranteed the development of 3 major events in a safe, calm and professional manner.

" Your commitment to guaranteeing order and security during the electoral process, the international race "Giro d'Italia" and in particular during the development of the European Political Community Summit, once again demonstrated the high level of preparation, seriousness and integrity with which each of you serves the country and citizens ," Proda's message states, among other things.

Besides the praise, Proda's police have also been at the center of accusations during this period, mainly from the opposition.

We recall that a few days before the elections, the political leader of the DP for the Fier region, Gazment Bardhi, denounced the director of the Fier Police, Skënder Hitaj, for having given orders to his subordinates to stage events and hinder the DP in the campaign.

The political leader of the DP in this region, Bardhi, states that "special prosecutors and international election monitoring institutions have been informed in real time about these events."

Among other things, he writes that Hitaj confuses him and the DP candidates with Belinda Balluku, Ceno Klosi and Klevis Jahaj.

Also, on election day, police arrested Ladi Ndoji, the husband of DP MP Elda Hoti, and 25-year-old Amarildo Jushi, after they are accused of blocking the road of a car with the claim that they were carrying out vote-buying activities.

Apparently, the police "legitimize" vote buying by the Socialists and handcuff opposition figures who denounce flagrant cases of violation of the law.
