From the Giro d'Italia, the elections and the EU Summit, Lubonja: Europe uses Albania for its own interests

From the Giro d'Italia, the elections and the EU Summit, Lubonja: Europe

Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on the events of recent days in Albania, such as the development of the Giro d'Italia stage, the elections, and the European Union Leaders' Summit.

Invited to the News 24 studio, he raised accusations against the way Prime Minister Edi Rama represents the country.

According to Lubonja, the country is being run as a "party-state", where power is represented by a single person.

"I see it as a scenario, that this week was the Giro d'Italia, the elections and the Summit. These EU leaders come here and that the star of the Summit was that logo, which Rama came out with in the electoral campaign. As if we are a party-state, as if they come and meet Xi Jin Ping. Rama, it seems like the party-state that represents Albania. The more oppression, the deeper Rama wins. The EU is committed to a state of law, and here it is a narco-state, by building towers and pretending not to see them. Europe uses Albania for its interests. We must free ourselves from the complex of internationals" , said Lubonja.
