The process of counting diaspora votes continues to be accompanied by controversy, as in two districts, Shkodra and Dibër, more counted envelopes have been recorded than the officially declared total.
In Shkodra Region, 13,959 envelopes were counted, while according to data from the Central Election Commission, the declared total of envelopes received was 13,533. This constitutes a difference of 426 more envelopes, which has not yet been explained by the authorities.
The same situation was recorded in the Dibra District, where 7,773 envelopes were counted, while according to official documentation 7,504 envelopes were predicted, creating a difference of 269 more envelopes.
We recall that the same situation has occurred with the diaspora of the Kukës Region. The CEC has placed 2902 numbered envelopes out of a total of 2896 envelopes.
Also, around 43 thousand ballots from the diaspora in Greece have been counted, while only 42 thousand voters are officially registered.
