Alimehmeti remained outside Parliament/ Berisha: A valuable and highly respected

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has praised the figure of Ilir Alimehmeti, emphasizing that he did not lose the race, but on the contrary showed broad support and a high reputation among citizens.

" The truth is that he didn't lose it at all. He is a prominent fighter of the DP and showed the high level of likeability that citizens have for him," Berisha said during a statement to the media.

Commenting on the election results and Alimehmet's role, Berisha said that the votes he collected are proof of the contribution and respect he enjoys inside and outside the party.

" The lists could have been of several types, but the fact that he collected those votes proved that he is a very respected activist. I do not believe that only Parliament is the representation of a party, a party has a wide range of representation," Berisha continued.
