The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, was asked whether the fact that Rama won 84 mandates on May 11 is a concern for the union.

Invited to A2 CNN, Gonzato said that with this large majority won, Rama must fulfill reforms, but not at the expense of transparency.

"It is not for me to comment, but with this strong mandate, the government must implement the reforms it has committed to and there is no one to blame. Accelerating these reforms is important, but this should not come at the expense of transparency or inclusiveness. Everyone should have the opportunity to give their views on how EU standards are being implemented ," Gonzato declared.
