Safet Gjici's release, lawyer: Today the true face of justice was seen

Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj commented on the release of the former mayor of Kukës , Safet Gjici, from prison.

Speaking on Syri TV, he described the event as symbolic of a day filled with paradoxes, from "erotic issues" to political bargaining.

According to him, the Appeal did not only mitigate a sentence, but sent a disturbing message about the selective sensitivity of justice.  

"Today was truly a big day, both in terms of erotic issues and political issues. Because Safet Gjici was released today. I call it an erotic issue, because the Appeal Court, which reduced his sentence by 6 months, increased it by 6 months or a year. Now the Appeal Court has granted 8 months. There is a great sensitivity in this matter.
