A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in the Yrsheku area, where a 15-year-old teenager fatally hit an elderly person who was riding a bicycle.
According to the official announcement of the Tirana Police, the incident occurred at around 14:40, when the minor, driving a vehicle belonging to his family, hit the 82-year-old man with the initials SV, who was riding a bicycle. Unfortunately, the elderly man died during transport to the hospital.
The police have announced that the 15-year-old has been arrested and the procedural materials against him have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
Driving by minors, especially without a driving license, remains a constant concern for the authorities and a serious risk to life on the road.
