Germany/ 46-year-old Albanian injures three people, including an 11-year-old

An incident shook the German city of Halle (Saale) on Sunday at noon, where a Kosovo Albanian stabbed several people in front of a residential building in the area known as Magistrale.

According to official information from German police, three people were injured as a result of the attack.

An 11-year-old girl was among the injured. Authorities said the injured were a 29-year-old man with serious injuries, a 47-year-old man with minor injuries, and a minor girl who fortunately only suffered minor cuts. All three were rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

According to initial reports, the attack was preceded by an argument, which is suspected to have been caused by noise made by children in the entrance of the apartment. Eyewitnesses quoted by the newspaper "Mitteldeutsche Zeitung" said that the attacker came out of the apartment and stabbed several children who were sitting in front of the entrance with a long knife.

The suspected perpetrator is a 46-year-old man from Kosovo, who was arrested minutes after the incident by police. He is currently in custody, while investigations continue to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident, as well as the type of vehicle used in the attack.

Police are conducting an examination at the scene and have set up several markers to collect evidence. Footage from the scene shows the presence of numerous police forces and emergency units.

The incident has shocked the local community, especially because children were targeted. Authorities have promised a full investigation into the case and increased security measures in the neighborhood.
