The Chief Commissioner of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, the Prosecutor General Olsjan Çela and the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, held an important meeting today at the premises of the French Embassy in Tirana.

It is reported that the ambassadors of France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the US envoy were present at the meeting. The representative of the European Union and the head of the ODIHR Observer Mission, Lamberto Zannier, also participated in the meeting.

According to reports, the focus of discussions at the meeting was the electoral process in Albania and measures to guarantee its integrity, as well as strengthening efforts to combat electoral crime.

The necessity of inter-institutional and international cooperation to prevent and punish any form of vote manipulation or voter intimidation was also emphasized.
