Venezuelan President: Ecuador's Albanian Mafia seeks to sabotage our

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has publicly stated that the Albanian mafia in Ecuador has been contracted to carry out terrorist attacks on May 25, which coincides with election day in Venezuela.

Speaking in a direct communication to local media, Maduro accused Albanians who control mafia groups in Ecuador of sending several mercenaries for such acts.

"The Albanian mafia that rules Ecuador sent some of its mercenaries to plant bombs in Venezuela. They have been caught. Faced with new threats: Vote yes, bullets no!", he said.

"On May 19, President Nicolas Maduro denounced the dismantling in Venezuela of a sabotage plot against the May 25 elections linked to the Albanian mafia, Daniel Noboa in Ecuador and Erik Prince in the United States. This team guarantees the victory of peace and security. We must defend the constitutional rights of our people to peace, stability and tranquility," the Venezuelan presidency transcript reads.

Earlier, Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello confirmed the capture of 38 mercenaries who were planning to sabotage the elections. Among them were 17 foreigners.
