The murder of Kristian Marku/ The well-thought-out plan by experienced people

The testimonies and graphic evidence brought exclusively by the show "On Target" to the public have helped the police in identifying the vehicle used in the murder of Kristian Marku who was executed on the evening of January 13, 2025, on the highway near the village of Novoselë, Vlora, K in a well-organized assassination attempt with a firearm

In addition to being involved in the bloody conflict between the two tribes, Kristian Marku also had problems with the law, involved in several criminal activities over the past few years.

But his execution, the way he was organized and the use of the burned car with stolen license plates, suggests that the assassination was not just part of a primitive revenge, but a carefully thought out plan executed by experienced individuals.

The victim was part of a bloody conflict between the Reçi, Gjini and Bardhi tribes, a long-running revenge saga with roots in Rrëshen and branches in Europe.

Police investigations revealed that the assassins used a black Volkswagen Golf 5, which was found burned just a few minutes after the murder, near the village of Panaja, Vlora.

Initially, the chassis number could not be identified, but upon review it was revealed that the car was produced in 2004 and had entered Albania from Kosovo.

According to Interpol Ljubljana, the vehicle was owned by a citizen from Podujeva, Kosovo, J.B., while it was used by his brother, EB, a resident of Slovenia.

According to EB's testimony, the car was purchased in November 2022 in Maribor, Slovenia for 1200 euros and was brought to Kosovo.

Then, the car was sold for 1700-1800 euros to a citizen from Kukës, named Erald Cenaj, who, according to E.B., had asked for Golf and Touran type vehicles to take without notarial documents.

The transaction was made through communication on WhatsApp, with orders for delivery at the Morina border crossing. The vehicle was handed over by J.B., who received the payment and sent the money, license plates and documents to his brother via the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line.

"On December 4, 2022, I sent Eraldi some photos of the 'Golf' car that had no license plates registered to Eraldi on his number on whats app, which I had registered 'Shqipnia'. After seeing the photos, Eraldi called me asking me about the physical condition of the car.

After talking about the details, we agreed that he would buy the car for the amount of 1700-1800 euros and bring the car to him to the border crossing point of Morina, in Kukës", it is stated in the investigative file.

Just two days after handing over the car to Eraldi, E. says that his brother J. had brought him the amount of money for the sale of the car through the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line.

But no more than a few days after Eraldi took over the 'Volkswagen Golf' car, E. says that he called him and was complaining about the car's constant defects.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, E., after receiving the license plates of the vehicle, had handed them over to the relevant authorities and then deregistered them in Slovenia

After my brother J. brought me through the Kosovo-Slovenia bus line, the amount of money with which the car was sold, as well as the license plates and the driving license, a few days later Eraldi called me and started complaining about the car's defects.

Meanwhile, on December 8, 2022, I submitted my license plates to Slovenia and deregistered my driving license. Procedure for which I also have documents for this service.

E.B. told the investigative group that just a few days after he had deregistered the old circulation permit of the Volkswagen Golf 5 type vehicle in Slovenia, he sent this permit to Eraldi in reverse. who has come as far as Kosovo to take him personally.

Which the latter confirmed to E. on the phone. But what happens next is that EB turns out to have sold the Volkswagen Golf 5 car to citizen Erald Cenaj from Kukës, without notarial documents. Meanwhile, he admits that he bought this car in Slovenia and deregistered it in the name of his brother J..

I have known Erald Cenaj since 2021, the period when he visited the site where I exhibit cars. I have always sold the vehicles to Eraldi, in all our cooperation, in this way, without notarial acts. For the cars I have sold, I also have the photos as well as the conversation I had with Eraldi on whats app.

Anotherperson who was asked about the Volkswagen Golf 5 type vehicle, which was used in the execution of Kristian Marku at the beginning of January 2025, was J. B. himself. Who stood by the statements of his brother E. and admitted that he handed over the car to the Albanian citizen Erald Cenaj at the Morina border point in Kukës.

With whom he had communicated on the Viber application, and from him he had also received the amount of 1800 euros, for the vehicle he had handed over to him.

But the most interesting testimony that could shed even a little light on the fact that the vehicle ended up in the hands of the assassins, was the interview by the investigative group itself, of the citizen Erald Cenaj.

The one who took the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle in Morina and brought it into Albanian territory. Erald Cenaj who said that he had started the used car trade in 2021. And that during this time he had bought many such cars from Fushë-Kosova, or from people who brought them from outside the Albanian territory.

"I started the used car trade in 2021. Mainly from Fushë-Kosova, or people who bring them from abroad. For the sale of these cars, I do not use notarial contracts, but sales invoices", said Erald Cenaj in his testimony before the group of investigators.

Asked about the cooperation with the B. brothers from Podujeva, Kosovo, Erald Cenaj did not deny that he knew them. But he also claimed that from the brothers he knew only E., not J.

E., who, according to him, as far as he remembered, had also bought him a Volkswagen Golf 5 type vehicle, gray in color. And another one of this brand in black.

"From E., as far as I remember. I bought some vehicles which I then sold. Among them is a Volkswagen type Golf 5, gray in color. As well as another one of this brand in black", declared Erald Cenaj to the investigators.

But of interest to the investigative group was precisely the black Volkswagen Golf 5 car that Erald Cenaj had bought from EB. A car which a few years later was used in the execution of Kristian Marku, in the village of Novoselë in Vlora.

"I don't remember who I sold this car to. What I do know is that I have not cleared the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle, in black. As for the other cars I bought from EB, I made customs, but I did not make a sale-purchase contract for any of these vehicles", it is stated in the investigative file referring to the testimony of Erald Cenaj.

But the suspicions of the investigative group remained such that Erald Cenaj was not telling the truth about who he sold the Volkswagen car to after buying it from EB from Kosovo, a resident of Slovenia. Therefore, he was once again interrogated by the investigative group.

Perhaps with the thought of learning other news about the people who used the crime machine, in the future.

"Citizen Erald Cenaj was interrogated again, but he already refused to speak. In his statement, he said that he will give explanations only in the presence of the lawyer chosen by his family members", it is stated in the investigative file for the murder of Kristian Marku.

For this reason, on January 25, 2025, the Vlora prosecutor's office decided to detain the citizen Erald Cenaj, as a person suspected of having committed the criminal offense of providing the conditions and means to commit murder.

But despite this suspicion, Erald Cenaj raised the claim that E.B and J.B. did not have any documents to prove that they had sold the Volkswagen Golf 5 vehicle to him. Which, according to him, as a result, cannot be taken for granted their claim that they sold this car to him.

Erald Cenaj has stated that in such circumstances a reasonable suspicion based on evidence cannot be considered, only with the testimony of two people who, according to his claim, will definitely try to remove the vehicle in question from themselves due to the event that happened.

But what seems to confuse this story once again is the fact that after checking the phone of the Kosovar citizen EB, it turns out that in their communications on whats app there is no agreement regarding the sale of the car, which after a few years was used in a crime, that of murder on January 13, 2025, of 30-year-old Kristian Marku.

"From the examination of the telephone conversations, it does not result that EB and Erald Cenaj have agreed with each other on the purchase of this car. Nor did they talk about the purchase price or to send this vehicle to Albania, as EB claims", the file states.

Likewise, according to the investigative group, according to the check that was done on EB's telephone device, it turns out that in the communications he has with Erald Cenaj, only a few photographs of a vehicle appear. Where EB tells Erald Cenaj that this is a car. And the latter replies that the car has some burns and needs painting. But at no point does he affirm the purchase of this car.

Meanwhile, from the examination of EB's phone, it turns out that he has two unanswered calls from Erald Cenaj.

Which always means according to the investigative group that they could not communicate even through voice, in order to lecture his claim that he spoke with Erald Cenaj. But even though these facts are contradictory to each other, what stands out is that the investigative group has stopped its search only on the crime machine.

Without being able to go to other tracks, which could lead him to the killers who shot on the evening of January 13, 2025, against 30-year-old Kristian Marku.
