KAS decides on full recount of votes in Fier

The Sanctions and Complaints Commission (KAS) has decided to open the ballot boxes and recount the votes in the Fier Region, for both parties and candidates.

The decision was made with the votes of two DP members in the KAS, Ledio Braho and Elvis Cefa, where the ballot boxes for all 587 Voting Centers in that district will be opened.

The request for a recount of the ballot boxes in Fier was submitted by the "Albania Becomes Initiative" coalition, and was also supported by the opposition coalition "Democratic Party", "Alliance for a Better Albania (PD-ASHM)".

The recount is expected to begin in the coming days at facilities designated by the Central Election Commission and will be supervised by representatives of political parties.

Earlier, KAS decided to conduct a full recount of votes in the Tirana District, both for parties and candidates.
