Nesho on the elections: Manipulated, they should not be recognized

Diplomat Agim Nesho describes the May 11 election process as manipulated and filled with serious violations that, according to him, are now visible to Albanian public opinion and reflected in international reports.

Nesho says that the Democratic Party is developing an ongoing process of documenting irregularities in each region, while the compliance of these facts with the previous OSCE/ODIHR report is a clear indicator of the lack of democratic standards.

"This is a process that the DP is carrying out continuously, not only today but day after day with new facts for each district, irregularities such as theft, use of administration and all the problems that have already been identified and are clear to the Albanian public opinion.

These issues coincide with the previous OSCE-ODIHR report that has come out targeting the elections in Albania as problematic. Rightly, the DP and the opposition, as representatives of the true opposition, demand and stand against this. This manipulated electoral process should not be recognized.

In fact, the reaction of the international factor has been very strong. We must say that it is not only the latest resolutions or comments in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, where Albania is in a process of advancing the integration process and you rightly underlined it because indeed the discussion of the deputy Gahler was very strong. Unacceptable not only for European standards but also for all other Western countries. Here it is said that organized crime, the narco-state, prevents free elections to be accepted and legitimized the institutions of the Albanian state.

There has been no shortage of resolutions. They started before the elections, 3 resolutions one after the other saying that they are all center-right parties. It is the EPP of the European Parliament and in continuity with all these criticisms that have been present,” Nesho said on SyriTv.
