Italy/ 16-year-old Albanian stabbed, investigations reveal first clues

A 16-year-old boy of Albanian origin was stabbed in the chest on Saturday evening in Vicenza, in an area near the historic center, and is now hospitalized in serious condition in the hospital's pediatric intensive care unit, but his life is not in danger.

According to an initial reconstruction by law enforcement, the person who hit him was another young man, possibly his age, for reasons that have not yet been clarified. One of the hypotheses that investigators are working on is that of an attempted robbery that ended in bloodshed, but other leads are not being ruled out.

To have a more accurate picture, the statements of the injured person, a resident of the city, may be useful when he is able to answer questions. The alarm was raised by several passers-by; the area where the incident occurred, via Cattaneo, is densely populated and frequented also because there is a large parking lot.

After calls were made to the scene, an ambulance from Suem 118 arrived, whose doctors provided the young man with first aid on the spot and then transported him to the city hospital.

Bystanders in the area raised the alarm, while the Suem 118 Emergency Service ambulance immediately arrived at the scene and provided first aid to the injured man before transporting him to the hospital.

La Repubblica writes that the incident took place on Via Cattaneo, a populated and very frequented area due to the presence of a large public parking lot. The police are working to identify the perpetrator and it is expected that the statements of the injured teenager, once his condition improves, will help in fully clarifying the incident.
