Today, Albanian student Ilaria Sula would have celebrated her 23rd birthday. But instead of celebration, her parents and relatives have gathered to commemorate her tragically interrupted life. In honor of her birthday, they have inaugurated a touching memorial at the place where Ilaria's dead body was dumped, after a serious crime that shocked all public opinion.

In this painful ceremony, Ilaria's parents, together with relatives and community representatives, including the Mayor of Capranica Prenestina, Mr. Francesco Colagrossi, shared moments of reflection and remembrance for the young woman who lost her life as a result of a brutal act of violence.

Ilaria's father, Flamur Sula, publicly thanked all those who have been close to his family in this difficult period.

"Thank you all, the Municipality and the mayor of Capranica Prenestina for the big heart and for everything that has been done for my daughter Ilaria," he said emotionally.
In a touching dedication on social networks, he wrote:

"You have been my most beautiful gift, happy birthday my princess! I miss him very much."
The family and those present released white balloons into the sky, a symbol of innocence and eternal remembrance for Ilaria.

The Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Colagrossi emphasized the importance of the memorial as a place of reflection, love and reverence for the lost life.

"This memorial, located at the site where her body was found, is a testament to her family's endless love for her. The photograph that shows us Ilaria smiling, full of life, in the most beautiful years of her life, is a reminder of what was extinguished by an unbelievable, irrational and absurd violence."
He also called for awareness of relationship violence and the need to protect young people from a "sick and destructive love."

The ceremony was marked by a deep emotional atmosphere, where the community expressed solidarity with the pain of the Sula family, turning the crime scene into a memorial space with messages of love, life and care for each other.
