Enigma/ How did the SP grow more than in the previous elections this year?

From the first days after May 11, Lapsi.al and many who had doubts about the manipulation of these elections, raised a simple question, which was worth debating for anyone who will judge with a cool mind: How is it possible that despite all the arrests, the imprisonment of many ministers and the evidence of their looting, even after the 5D scandal and the discrediting of Erion Veliaj, the ruling party managed to grow compared to the past elections and receive an overwhelming majority of voters?

The fact that required explanation was that from 48.5% four years ago, in 2025, the SP was going to 53%. Was this an indication that made you suspect manipulation?

Was this a stubborn logic that went beyond the ballot papers found outside the boxes, the all-monism results, where 98% voted, the direct buying of votes, the use of the Bulgarian train, the giving of money in exchange for identity cards, in order not to run in the elections, the activation of criminal gangs in the Sara Mile version?

As soon as this thesis was articulated, a diverse coalition consisting of declared servants of Rama to useful idiots destroyed by the "it's Saliu's fault" virus, countered with the argument that the SP had not grown but had fallen.

In television appearances and written articles, they claimed that Rama had not won, but that Berisha had lost, that the Socialist Party had benefited from the electoral system, that the people had condemned the government by voting, even though they had punished the opposition even more, which created the illusion that the prime minister was the winner. This line of reasoning went hand in hand with the prime minister's thesis, articulated at the victory rally, that Albanians do not vote to change the government without first changing the opposition.

Their main argument was based on numerical "facts", claiming that the SP received 734 thousand votes, about 35 thousand fewer than in the 2021 elections.

So, they shouted, 35 thousand votes are more or less the difference that separated the parties four years ago, which according to them showed that Albanians did not want to vote for Rama, but he benefited from Berisha's non-voting.

The mistake of these zealous crusaders of electoral manipulation was that the desire to serve did not let them wait for the final voting figures. When they were completed, they showed a completely different picture. If in 2021, the SP had received 770 thousand votes within the country, the 35 thousand that were missing were among a number of 200 thousand voters who were fewer than five years ago. The reasons for this 200-thousand are numerous, but a large part also has to do with mass emigration. And as if by coincidence, the number of those missing in the appeal after four years is identically equal to the number of those who voted in the diaspora (197 thousand). So the electoral body is almost the same in the last two elections.

However, Rama appears to have grown significantly. From the 770 thousand votes he secured in 2021, he rose to 890 thousand votes in 2025. These are the figures.

Therefore, those who rushed to find an alibi that Albanians did not vote for Rama but rejected Berisha are left to find another alibi to answer the question of what kind of system this is, where the one who steals the most is liked the most./Lapsi.al
