Caught in Operation "Ura": Who is the administrator of "Ligori

The mega-operation codenamed "Bridge", undertaken in cooperation between Albanian and Italian authorities, has also expanded to the city of Fier. One of the arrested persons is Ligor Çombashi, administrator of the well-known international transport company "Ligori Travel", which operates on the Albania-Italy route.

According to police sources, Çombashi was arrested in the early hours of the morning at his apartment in the village of Sheq Marinas. He is not an unknown name to law enforcement, as he was also arrested in Vlora in 2016 for smuggling goods.

The investigative suspicions shed light on a suspected criminal activity by Çombash, who, through the transport network, is suspected of helping to transfer large sums of money obtained from illegal activities in Italy, to then send them to the relatives of the persons involved in Albania.

Residents of the area say that Çombashi started his activity in the early 1990s with vans, later building a consolidated business in the field of international transport.

Operation "Bridge" has so far led to the issuance of 52 arrest warrants and continues to uncover new connections between criminal networks operating on both sides of the Adriatic.
