Fier/ Distributing heroin in doses, 53-year-old ends up in handcuffs

Fier Police have successfully finalized another anti-drug operation, codenamed "Moment", as part of efforts to crack down on the criminal activity of distributing narcotics in doses.

The operation was carried out by Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the Fier Police Department, as a result of an in-depth investigation using proactive methods.

In the "Liri Gero" neighborhood, the Police services caught 53-year-old AM, a resident of Fier, red-handed while selling heroin doses to citizen FD, 37, a resident of Patos. The latter is being criminally prosecuted at large.

During the physical search and later at the suspect's apartment, the Police seized:

-a quantity of heroin divided into doses ready for sale,

-a quantity of cannabis in chocolate form,

-a pistol comb,

-an electronic scale,

-a sum of money suspected of having been obtained from criminal activity,

-the vehicle used for distribution.

The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier for further legal action.
