Renowned Albanian director, actor and screenwriter, Leka Bungo, has passed away at the age of 81.
Bungo had been suffering from a serious illness for a long time. The director will be taken to his final resting place this Wednesday, at 4:00 PM, and will be laid to rest in the Sharra cemetery.
Leka Bungo was born on February 28, 1944 in Vlora and was one of the most prominent names in Albanian art, with important contributions to theater, film and television.
He graduated from the "Aleksandër Moisiu" acting school and later a one-year directing course at the Higher Institute of Arts.
