Sailing suspended due to bad weather in Vlora

The worsening weather conditions have led the Vlora Port Authority to take the decision to ban the navigation of small vessels and fishing vessels.

According to the captaincy, the reason for the suspension of sea navigation was the strong coastal wind with a south-southeast direction, with a speed within the Bay of Vlora of 15 meters per second and in the open sea of 20 meters per second, causing high waves within the bay up to 1.5 meters high, while in the open sea the waves reach up to 2.5 meters high, making the navigation of these vessels impossible.

The suspension of sea navigation will continue until 6 a.m. on Thursday. The port authority announced that the line's ferries will continue sailing as normal because they can withstand greater sea force.
