Special Prosecution responds to threats against President Osmani: We are

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has reacted to the death threats sent to the President of the country, Vjosa Osmani. Through an official statement, the Prosecution announces that it has authorized the relevant unit of the Kosovo Police to take all necessary actions to identify and prosecute the responsible persons.

"The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has received information from the Kosovo Police regarding the specific case. In this context, it has authorized the relevant Police unit to take all necessary actions regarding the identification and detection of the possible perpetrators of the criminal offense," the official response states.

The threat was made through an e-mail sent to the official address of the Presidency from an account named “Rrap Tap.” The news was confirmed by the President’s advisor, Bekim Kupina, emphasizing that the threat is serious and is in the hands of the relevant authorities.

The President's husband, Prindon Sadriu, has also reacted to the event, denouncing dozens of cases of repeated and direct threats against the President and her family through a Facebook post.

"These are not random and isolated threats, but continuous ones. They come from both anonymous profiles and public individuals with names and surnames," Sadriu wrote, describing them as open calls for violence not only against the President as an individual, but against the very institution she represents.

He added that in addition to threats, fabricated slanders have also been made that aim to incite hatred and create an atmosphere where violence is seen as justifiable.

Sadriu sharply criticized the lack of reaction from state institutions, describing their silence as complicity. He warned that such an approach poses a serious risk to the security of the President and her family, as well as to the institutional stability of the country.
