SPAK strikes Indrit Vezi's assets, GJKKO confiscates companies, vehicles

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has decided to confiscate some assets of citizen Indrit Vezi and persons associated with him, following a request filed by SPAK in November last year.

Judge Flojera Davidhi's decision provides for the transfer to the state of several luxury vehicles, companies and other assets linked to suspected criminal activity. The objects of the confiscation decision are:

A Volvo bus and a Mercedes Benz S300 vehicle, registered in the name of Indrit Vezi,
A trailer purchased from one of the companies associated with the Vezi family worth 11 thousand euros,
Quotas as a partner in the company “Trans Komod” Sh.pk,
The firm as a natural person “Dylaver Vezi” with the relevant assets in Shkozet, Durrës.
The court has also decided to revoke the seizure of several other assets, including apartments and a plot of land, for which no sufficient links to illegal activity have been established.

According to the GJKKO, these measures come within the framework of the law "On the prevention and suppression of organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against property", while all procedural costs have been charged to Indrit Vezi as the subject of the property investigation.

The decision is immediately enforceable, while the parties have the right to appeal to the Special Court of Appeal within 15 days from the notification of the reasoned decision.

The confiscation of these assets comes as part of the offensive of justice institutions against organized crime and illegally obtained assets.
