Sued for copyright, what happened to Dua Lipa's trial?
The music group Artikal Sound System has sued Dua Lipa for the copyright of the song "Levitating".
They claimed that Dua had copied the song from their previous project Live Your Life, which took the parties to court. But in a filing filed Wednesday, lawyers for Artikal Sound System and Lipa filed a joint motion, asking the judge to permanently dismiss the case.
There was no indication that Dua Lipa had agreed to pay any money or change the names of the authors of her song.
So, Dua Lipa came out "won" from this court case, once again placing the dots on the "i" for her talent and dedicated work, without having to copy anywhere.
