Ambassador Grenell Against Idea of Reciprocity

The Special Envoy of the US President for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Richard Grenell is opposed to the reciprocity measures which have been announced by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

                As Radio Free Europe reported, Grenell’s spokesperson Dick Custin stated that the US Ambassador in Germany did not support the idea of reciprocity.

Kurti presented the idea of reciprocity in the Kosovo parliament in an exposé as an exchange for the abolishment of tariffs of 100% on products from Serbia and from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Custin said that Grenell supported the idea of abolishing these tariffs without any reciprocity.

He stated that it was necessary for the tariffs to be completely abolished and not only suspended.

Pristina introduced the measure of taxes increased by 100% on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on 21 November 2018.
