Occupied public spaces for private parking, 4 processed in Saranda

Four people have been criminally prosecuted by the police of Saranda as they are accused of occupying public spaces, near coastal areas, with the aim of using them for paid parking, mainly for tourists and visitors.

" The 4 citizens who practiced this illegal activity and hid the income gained from it are being prosecuted. 

The services of the Sarandë Police Station, following the checks carried out in order to highlight cases of illegal occupation of public spaces for economic gain, have recorded 4 such cases.  

Following the actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes have referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings have started in a state of freedom for the citizens:  

•AT, 38 years old, AK, 45 years old, Sh. A., 58 years old and FN, 59 years old, resident in Saranda. 

From the verifications carried out, it has emerged that these citizens had illegally occupied public spaces dedicated to free parking, and were using them illegally, to benefit from payments for vehicle parking, mainly from visitors and tourists.    

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions" , the police informs.
