Mogherini: Continuation of Dialogue Between Pristina and Belgrade, as Soon as

The customs introduced by Kosovo Government on the import from Serbia must be canceled, and as soon as these taxes were canceled a new round of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina would be organized, EU High Representatives and a mediator in the negotiations Federica Mogherini announced, Belgrade-based electronic media reported.

While addressing at the session of the United Nations Security Council (UN SC) Mogherini said that the goal of the dialogue was to reach a legally-binding agreement that would have to resolve all open issues and lead to a complete normalization of relations between Pristina and Belgrade. She added that this agreement would also need support from the UN SC.

The agreement must be exclusively agreed by the sides in the dialogue – Belgrade, and Pristina, Mogherini said.

She emphasized that the favorable outcome of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina could give more hope to the region and become a pattern and inspiration for Europe and the whole world.

Serbian officials reiterated that they would be ready to continue the dialogue as soon the 100 percent taxes were canceled, which was introduced by Kosovo for the commodities from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In spite of requests from the EU and USA to cancel the taxes, the Kosovo Government was not giving up on them.
