Seselj Tells His Driver to Run Over Dveri Leader

MP, convicted war criminal, political father of incumbent Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, leader of the extremist Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Vojislav Seselj, demanded from his driver on Monday afternoon to run over an MP and leader of the opposition Dveri movement Bosko Obradovic, who protested in front of the parliament building, news agency Beta reported.

Obradovic and the other Dveri MPs had announced that they would not attend the parliament session on Kosovo, however, they were waiting for President Vucic’s arrival in front of the entrance to the building with a banner reading “Treason Today, Slaves Tomorrow”.

Seselj, who came to the session in a car, ordered his driver to push away the Dveri MPs, who protested on the plateau in front of the parliamentary staircase, that is, in the very place where cars pull over and the MPs get out of them.

When the car stopped, Seselj came out and insulted Obradovic, and asked his driver to come back and run them over by a car. The driver did not fulfill this request, but he got out of the car and attacked one of the Dveri MP Jugoslav Kiprijanovic with a baseball bat.

At the same time, Seselj’s bodyguard tried to push the Dveri MPs away, and an incident with the security of the parliament that tried to calm down the situation almost occurred.

The SRS MPs appeared there shortly and challenged the Dveri MPs to a physical showdown, and the leader of the so-called Association of Families of Kidnapped and Killed in Kosovo, a convicted criminal, Simo Spasic, who always appears when the opposition members are attacked or someone of Vucic’ s regime should be defended, joined them.

Sometime later, when Vucic came to the parliament, the Dveri MPs shouted “Treason, treason!” while the MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party made a human barrier between their leader and the opposition.

Vucic told (lied) the parliament that the opposition was trying to prevent him from attending the session, but that he, as always, won.
